What type of backflow preventers are needed on:
* hair sinks
* beverage systems
* boilers
* commercial ice makers
* foot baths
* nail salon service lines
* beauty salon/barber shop service lines
* steam generators
* fire hydrants if contractor use is allowed
* water cooled condensors
* water powered sump pumps
* chillers
* water softeners
* threaded valve outlets

An air gap is always the best backflow preventer. After that, an RPZ is 2nd best.

DuC = Dual Check Valve
DC = Double Check
RPZ = Preduced Pressure Zone
AG = Air Gap

* beverage systems - DuC OR CARBONATED BEVERAGE BACKFLOW PREVENTERS ON CARBONATORS
* boilers - DuC, DC, OR RPZ
* commercial ice makers - DuC
* foot baths - VB, DuC
* nail salon service lines - NEED SPECS??? DC MAY BE OK.
* beauty salon/barber shop service lines - DC
* steam generators - DC? RPZ? ARE THERE CHEMICALS?
* fire hydrants if contractor use is allowed - RPZ
* water cooled condensors - CHEMICALS? RPZ
* water powered sump pumps - DuC, DC
* chillers - AG, RPZ
* water softeners - AG ON DISCHARGE INTO FLOOR DRAIN
* threaded valve outlets - VB IS THE STANDARD ANSWER...WHAT'S THE HOSE BIB BEING USED FOR?
